Featuring a colourful cast of characters, it centres around Joe Exotic. An eccentric, gun-toting, big cat zoo owner, he’s no stranger to controversy. The show tracks his feud with animal rights ‘heroine’/possible villain Carole Baskin. Between the animals, weird music videos and bizarre murder-mystery plots, there’s a lot going on. Including the self-labelled Tiger King going to prison. It’s certainly must-watch TV!
And while the series is over, the madness continues. In the last week, a judge in the US has handed Joe Exotic’s zoo to Baskin. This was swiftly followed by a Florida sheriff claiming that the will of Baskin’s missing (presumed dead) husband was forged. Then there’s the adaptions. Several Hollywood bigwigs have announced their intentions to make a dramas based on this crazy tale. Including Nick Cage (of course).
